Enjoyment of music is wonderful therapy for anyone, for people with Alzheimer’s and other short-term memory loss music has a powerful ‘unlocking’ effect, enhancing motivation and current levels of function.

Many times we hear ‘it’s miraculous’ as our members perform and share their abilities. The memory for song is preserved deep in the brain and we can use it to access other memories - our music sessions are full of reminiscence and laughter

The Historian has the resources to help you plan your next outing.

My name is Robin Jett, and I am a firm

believer in active history. Active, or rather

inter-active, history concerns sharing

stories, being open to new interpretations

of events, and always questioning

traditional conclusions.
